Electric Bass

ImageThe Goldens Bridge Studio program in Electric Bass is a comprehensive course designed to train students in all aspects of Electric Bass playing, including technique, reading, repertoire, and theory/harmony/ear training. Beginer students work through the RGT Early Grades bass material, while more advanced players are placed according to an initial evaluation into an RGT grade.

From the very beginning, students are exposed to a variety of styles, from rock, to swing, to jazz/blues to  funk and Latin.

Live performance opportunities are available to students who score 75% and above on the RGT exam.

Some of the areas we cover:
straight eighth-note rock, funk, 3/4 & 4/4 and odd meters, Latin, Jazz, slap, chromatic harmony, triads, 7th chords, modes, improvising, chart & note reading, pitch & rhythm recognition and more.
