The Goldens Bridge Studio's Suzuki Guitar program is a curriculum designed for teaching guitar to children ages 3.5-12. Skills developed in the program include ear training, theory, sight-reading, and instrumental technique. Unlike traditional music lessons, where the parents have little or no involvement with their child's lessons, children in the Suzuki guitar program learn the instrument with the help of a dedicated home teacher: the mother, father or guardian, who practice with the child, and attend all lessons and classes. The home teacher is trained prior to the start of the child's lessons.

Our woodwinds program is great for students who play an instrument in school band/orchestra, and who would like to improve their skills through private study. Weekly lessons with a professional, plus 2 yearly recitals focusing on solo music, will foster a deeper knowledge and understanding of music and connection to the instrument. Other benefits include technical development, sight-reading skills, theory, ear training, interpretation, and many other topics that would never be covered through group lessons in school.

Our well rounded curriculum covers everything from basic musicianship, ear training, rhythm reading, to stick technique, and drumkit. We also promote the NYSSMA snare drum requirements for all students, as well as participation in the yearly adjudication. Many of our students also participate in their school band/orchestra, and we offer support and training to succeed in this area.
