The Honors Recital features the winners of the Honors Recital
Competition. The competition is open to all students registered in the
school.
Competition Guidelines
- Students choose one piece from the repertoire list below.
- The piece should be recorded on a cassette tape or may be digitally recorded and emailed to us.
- All perfect performances will be accepted for the recital. Recordings will be judged by an instuctor other than the student's.
Classical Piano
Any piece from one of the following books:
- Celebration Series Perspectives!: Piano, any level {Published by Frederick Harris Music}
- Suzuki Piano School, Any Level
Classical Guitar:
Any piece from one of the following books:
- RCM Guitar Series, any level {Published by Frederick Harris Music}
- Suzuki Guitar School, Any Level
- RGT Classical Guitar Series, any level
Brass, Woodwinds, Recorder & Snare Drum
Tapes of each applicant are to be submitted by November 15th.
Selected performers will be announced on November 21st.
Recital Schedule
- Recital Begins at 3:30. Estimated length, 1 hour.
- 2:30 - 3:20 Student Reheasal
- 3:20 Family Seating:
- 4:30 - 5:00 Reception
